amp problems

hi everyone, ive been having problems with my amp latley. For instance when im playing chords on the clean setting , i hear these strange high pitched undertones. well to be frank theyre just high pitched noises that destroy your ears. the amp in question is a fender deluxe hotrod, my first thought was that the tubes needed to be changed, my second was it might be my guitar, because of its bridge (av jazzmaster). but im really not sure. Also when i play with my wah pedal off (when connected) it creates the trebeliest ear rapeing noise similar to the one described earlier.

any help would be great, just because i dont if my wah pedals the problem or if its the amp. or the guitar. ☹

could be either my wah does that but its cause I step on the connection plug that powers it...I would check the tubes take it to the shop have them check it that seems very abnormal. How old are the tubes? and how much do you play the amp and how loud?

the tubes are just over a year old now, but these sounds almost sound like when you stroke the strings in the bridge area, like the high pitched ones. just wondering though is there anyway to prevent the wah from making the guitar sound so trebely?

get some new tubes its time to change them thats probley the problem as for the wah idk what it could be thats making it trebly if you mean when you press it foward it gets trebly thats what its supposed to do.

Sounds like a preamp tube is starting to go.

If you can, buy just one and try substituting it with each tube one at a time, it may just be one tube that's gone a bit crappy, this process will help determine that.
