My Comp Mustang (acquired used) has this odd partnering of neck and body, despite its matching colour coordinated parts.
On the neck the serial number is Q+6 digits CIJ and between the screw holes is stamped JAG-70. The neck pocket in the body is simply stamped MG69.
The late serial numbers are notoriously difficult to figure out but the neck seems to date to 2002-2004 (Guitar Dater Project says Fujigen?). Is there any way of comfirming that the neck and body are the original combination?
