Lead circuit issues

Hello all,

Today I did some mods on my squier vm jaguar. I swapped out the stock tone and volume pots for Fender 250k No-Load pots and put in some Antiquity II's in the bridge and neck. The issue I'm having is that when the rhythm circuit is engaged everything is fine the volume and tone dials are fully responsive. When I engage the lead circuit however, no noise comes out. Literally no noise, static, or feedback. It doesn't matter what combination of switches are engaged on the lead panel. Any thoughts on what could be causing this? Hi and Welcome! I'm assuming you have checked all the solder joints to make sure everything looks solid. Also check those joints to make sure there is no solder touching "other" connections causing a short. Also check for any little strand of wire that may be touching something it shouldn't causing a short in that circuit.

If this all looks good then the next step is to review a schematic and make sure everything is wired correctly.

Hi Alex, thanks for your reply! I actually did the reverse last night and went through the schematic first, everything is looking good as far as correct wiring is concerned. I ordered a replacement switchcraft 2 way switch and new tone/volume pots just in case those are the culprits, I'll give everything a good once over tonight to see if any of the triggers you listed could be causing the issue before I start switching parts out!
