Dynamic Vibrato Adjustment

I'm interested in getting a Jag-Stang or Mustang, but I'd like to know how ajustable he feel of the Dynamic Vibrato is. I played one in a store, and it was really springy and kind of all over the place.

I want a vibrato that is stiff enough so I can do more subtle stuff with it and occasionally use it for portamento effects, too. Can this be achieved with the DV?

I don't have a whammy bar on mine, meaning the bar's really quite difficult to move, but I can do quite a nice vibrato effect by moving it with my hand ever so slightly. It's a pretty stiff whammy bar and can be adjusted by opening it (move the springs down a couple notches to make it stiffer). It's really not as bad as people make it out to be.

it's adjustable to a certain extent. you can lower or raise the tailpiece, to add more leverage either side. the lower you put it, the harder it will be to push the arm down and send the pitch lower.

malik, i've also done that hand thing too. it's nice for a bit of light trem. and better than having a whammy bar in your face
