7.25 neck

I wanna know, what is the meaning of 7.25, 9.00, neck..I mean how it is been measured?as a vintage guitar have a7.25 neck...what are the pros and cons of these various necks??

its the radius of the fretboard, lower the number, the more rounded the fretboard is.

so the modern fenders with 12.00 is much flatter?
