...I finally had my first Jazzmaster...disappointment with AMS.
So I debated about whether to get a Jaguar or Jazzmaster (very, very hard decision), then between whether to get it at American Musical Supply or Musicians Friend. I finally ordered from AMS on Monday and the Jazzmaster arrived today. I could not wait to get home and start playing.
Wouldnt you know it - when I opened the box, 2 of the locks on the front appeared to be locked, and there was no key included! At first I thought I must be missing something - I looked under chairs, tables (thinking I had dropped it) and all through the packaging and found nothing. I thought maybe these were special locks I had never seen before, but I dont see how you would open them without prying, so they must indeed be locked. I had to call support and have them refund my order and arrange to have it shipped back already. So much for a 3 day weekend with it ☹
I have since ordered the same thing from Musicians Friend...hopefully they are better about checking this type of thing before it gets shipped.
I would say the most agonizing part of this whole thing is knowing I have a $1400 guitar sitting in my house that I cant even see, let alone play. At least if they shipped the wrong thing I could play around on it.
