Yeah, I suggest you don't go reading any reviews about it. A lot of people are like "OMG I GOT THIS BUT IT DON'T EVEN SOUNDS LIKE KURDTZZ AND IT GOES OUT OF TUNEZ". It's not like that at all, take good care of it and it'll take care of you. The only potential mods really are changing the bridge humbucker (it's a nice sound, but it's "weak" for distortion and stuff, so a stronger humbucker might be in your favour). The neck pickup is as good as neck pickups go. The bridge posts wobble about so you might want to tape them though they don't really do much wrong without it. The tremolo is like Marmite, you're either going to love it or hate it, but there's not much chance you can replace it. It can be "locked down" if it's not for you, but if it is you might need to tweak it to stop going out of tune all the time. The tuners are the vintage style ones where the strings bend and go in the top, not my cup of tea (I like having a few inches sticking out but that's not so easy with vintage ones), but you soon get used to them (well I'm used to the sidey ones and I got used to it after my second restring attempt 😉).
