AGH.. I just cant decide on a new amp.. I just cant stay satisified. My first half stack was a Randall Rh-100. I just wasnt satisfied, so I went to a Line 6 Duoverb head. The amp is cool and all.. but.. they all sound the same.. the models.. I just really want an extremely amazing sounding clean channel!!! Help!! Halfstacks also.. for the band.. thats what i need.. no combos

Bear in mind the cabinet and speakers can also make a huge difference to the sound- did you use the same cab for the Randall and Line6 stacks?

The obvious route to go down would be a tube Fender amp head- best clean tones in Amptown.

or Marshall non-master volumes like Plexi's and JTM's I push those there amazing! ha a little pricey though.

In all fairness, Marshalls aren't the cleanest of amps. Not until the JCM2000s anyways.

not the cleanest but my plexi only has a clean channel unless you crank it so its my cleanest amp haha.

Yeah, I used the Randall cab with the line 6 head. But any cab that I use.. it basically all sounds the same.. And its just not perfect enough for me.

Price wise... well obviously i wouldnt be able to afford something extremely pricey. And I just absolutely cant stand Marshalls. Ive been thinking about checking into the new Randall heads... the valve dynamic ones. Or the Peavey Valveking.. im just worried about how i use so many effects and stuff.. i didnt want to cause any problems within that.

If i can find an amp suitable.. i was planning on selling either my Randall rh-100 or my Line 6 Duoverb.

cant stand Marshalls that makes me 😢 hahaha my friend has a valveking he said its ####in amazin metal to blues it can do it all,he doesnt use any effects so I cant ask him about that.

i got my mesa f-50 head on ebay for CAN$800, and I would highly recomend the amp to anyone. For total clean though, like doog said, fender it up. You can get some good deals on fender heads on ebay.

So I went to Guitar Center today, and the only amps they had there were a few Mesa Boogie Dual Recs..*Id love to have one.. but i doubt id ever have the money for one*... um... a couple of crates... marshalls bleh... and they had a Fender Supersonic halfstack.. and a Fender Fm-100 halfstack.. like i said.. i doubt i could ever afford something thats a 1000+... but.. anyhow.. I played through the Fm-100 and it sounded pretty good.. Im just not sure on it... Ive been told to try a Peavey XXL but Im just not sure what i should do!! Ugh i hate this lol

Has anyone played the new Randall Valve Dynamic 150 and 300?

I really liked Randall amps.. Ive always wanted a Randall Cyclone.. what does everyone think of them??
