the ce-1 is good but not worth the money you find them for, the ce-3 i have is ok but not that great, i've never heard the ce-5... i think it's safe to say if it's purely for frusciante reasons you can do WAY better. just cause he uses old, rare stuff doesn't mean it's the best. he uses it for pretty standard chorus sounds.
the ce-1 was actually the first chorus pedal, designed for keyboardists.
