Hi Everyone, I acquired a black Jag with gold hardware at a pawn shop back in 1999 or so.. I was in a buying cycle and doing home recording, it looked really cool and was priced to sell.. really cheap. I got it home and as I started to play it, I didn’t like the setup and it had a few electronic issues.. nothing major, just stuff I didn’t pick up on when I briefly played it at the pawn shop..I knew it had potential, just needed to be set up.. pawn shop dude was my friend so he would have refunded no probs so no issue there. I recorded a song on it and threw it back in the gig bag where it has been every since (I have several other guitars in the rotation so I never needed it). I never saw another one like it and I’m ready to get it back in playing order and start using it. I did some brief research and learned that I may have a 1992 30th anniversary Guitar Center Limited Edition (only 100:made) 62 reissue. It has all of the attributes up to and including the stamp on the back of the headstock that says “GC 30086” meaning I have number 86 out of 100. The only thing that confuses me is that the neck plate on mine does not have the stamped 30th anniversary limited edition guitar center logo on it. Mine is plain gold plate. Does anyone know, did they make these without the stamped neck plate (I’ve seen a few others on reverb with plain neck plates)?Otherwise.. I suppose it was swapped out at some point. Do you ever think I’ll find one?. I am pretty sure mine is real since I’ve owned it since 1999. Thanks for any help
