My strat has left me!

my band played a gig last night at the kathedral, went great, except someone swiped my mex strat...

Pretty pissed off right now, but I'm sure it happens to everyone eventually, I'm just glad its not a more expensive instrument, like our bassists 2000$ persision bass.

anyone else have similar experiences?

no but damn that would suck! Thats why I keep my guitars by my amp when I do shows.

I had it happen before, but it was right out of my rehearsal space. Lost my amp and all my effect pedals. Thankfully I brought my guitar home with me after our last rehearsal. But it SUCKED HARD, 'cause we had an important gig the day I found out it was stolen, so I had to do some borrowing from other bands. I pulled it off, but I was totally PISSED for like a year about it. I have better gear now, but it still stings. The cops, by the way, were totally useless in the matter. They seemed more annoyed that I was making a report about my gear being stolen than that there was a thief around. So now I keep my gear at home and travel to rehearsal with it. Better safe than sorry.

I do keep my gear all together btw, but when you've gotta watch over not just your own but worry about the bands equipment as well, it gets hard.

yea i got my very modified american strat and mexi jazz bass stolen from a music program i was doing. getting gear stolen sucks.

Luckily Ive never had anything stolen in the few shows Ive ever done. I think that you could officially state that as a boner killer. Sorry dude.
