For wich type of rock are the Big Muff the best choise, for wich ProCoRAT and Boss DS-2??

Um. It doesn't matter. Steve Vai used a DS-1 and so did Kurt Cobain, gear is hardly genre specific.

Try them out, they will work with most types of indie/rock/grunge/alternative styles.

If a pedal is good enough, you can get a handful of "genre"s outta it.

I'd say the RAT was the most flexible out of those, the Muff is a little too fuzz/thick/messy for a more 'classic rock' overdriven sound, and the DS-1 would be too thin and brittle.

The DS-1 works fairly well running into a crunchy tube amp though, but then again, millions of pedals do.
