Fat Strat

Ive gradually moved away from the idea of buying a JagStang and considering a Fat Strat. What are your opinions on them?

Well yea 2 single coils and a HB.

The reason I was set on for getting a JS was the reason for a lot of other people - Teh Kurtzz. But at the end of the day Im not entirely sure its what I want - afterall like Ive seen so many comments...JS doesnt produce the 'Kurt Sound'.

Get a fat tele, with a Bucker and two singles, or just a bucker and a single, cause well... teles PWN STRATS AND JAG-STANGS!!!

Icey I think he meant the Fender. I think Fat Strats are cool but I love Strats with all singles I feel thats how they where meant to be call my old fashion haha. But a Fat strat wont give you a Kurdtzz sound either,You would need a JB and a sticker that says " VANDALISM:AS BEAUTIFUL AS A ROCK IN A COPS FACE " to really sound like the Kurdtss thats the key to his sound the sticker lol.

fat strats are better wit distortion

fat strats are better wit distortion....at leasing IMO

ahh Texas Specials at the bridge I can play Nirvana from Bleach onward no problem! Then again those are hotter then the standards but the distortion thing look at some hendrix his distortion was bitchin lol! Actually it was more of squely fuzz. But I like black fat strats those are cool very Kurdtzzz!

Yea the black one was the one I was thinking of getting.

I was just discussing with a friend of mine on MSN the other night about what guitar to get for what I play and I had drifted away from the JS. And it just happened to be it seemed like a Fender Fat Strat would sorta be what I should get so I came to ask some opinions.

Well I can play bits and bobs but mainly its Nirvana (which is actually becoming quite aggrivating). Ill add you now anyway.

thats about the worst reason to buy a guitar ever. i hope someone brings that back to you when youre older and more informed

fat strat = versatile. i dont particularly like them, mostly cos of the strat look, but as fenders go it covers most of the bases. you'll be able to get "teh kurdtz" out of it anyway.
