Hi all. New to the forum. Thanks for all the great info here. I am a proud owner of a Jag-Stang circa 1996. I found so many tips that have been helpful in discovering things about this guitar that I never knew or was able to explore back in the day.
So long story short....I pulled out my guitar to give it some attention. While restringing I discovered (or suspect) that the place I brought it last to have it set up may have messed with the saddle order on the bridge. I tend to use lighter strings .09 on the "e" that may have drove the shop crazy when trying to set it up. Part of that is my fault since I didn't know these guitars should really be using a minimum of .11's which would reduce the buzz and rattling.
Is there a specific order that the saddles should be arranged on the bridge that allows for the proper bridge clearance at the break angle?
