Modifying the lead circuit switch ?

Ok so I played my first gig tonight with my new Jag, and needless to say I loved it. We played a showcase in some Virgin Megastore so we were filmed and video relayed on all the plasmas in the house, so I got to see what my new guitar looks like haha.

Anyway

In the middle of a song, I got my first moment of panic when i strummed the guitar so hard that i switched off my lead circuit switch with my fingers.

So I was thinking : this might happen again so, has anyone ever tried REVERTING those switches ? like, up = off and down = on. that would avoid accidents like this.

Sorry if this has been beaten to death btw. I searched but got nothing.

You could go for the classic tape-over-the-switch method if you wanted, but yeah, it's absolutely possible to flip your switch. Just open up the plate, remove the switch, spin it round, screw it in. Be careful not to yank out any wires when you do it though, and remember that it's the opposite way round!
