Well gotback from the music store a few hours ago with a new hardshell case, 3 packs of strings, 5 picks, and.... a used carvin custom shop model!!
Its a Cavin 3 pickup. A stock carvin humbucker and two stock singles. ITs a hard tail, no coil-splitting, and has 24 frets. It plays like a dream, smoother then butter. Instead of a 5 way switch or something of like like it has three two way mini-toggles. One for each pickup. That makes switching to a diffrent combo for a solo or diffrent part of a song easy. The neck is a wee bit wide for my taste, but thinner then my epi and has a little less meatyness to it.
Great guitar. 550.00 USD used, its a 800.00 USD new.
Plans: Get a coil tap, might change tone knob into volume knob for neck Pup.
