so im going to start building up a strat to replace the one that got stolen. the one thing i dont like about strats is that the tremolo arm is either too floppy or too stiff (modern 2 point, i dont like the vinage trems) so i just loosened the trem springs so that i jacked it up out of the body and i would just grab the trem and pull or push to use it. although i really like the way it played, i was frusterated with the fact that i couldnt use the trem while picking. im proboly going to get a body from warmoth since you cant get a 2 point trem strat in surf green, daphne blue, or any other cool colors so i started thinking that since im going to be getting a body custom made anyway, i might as well get no routing for a trem and have them drill it for a mustang bridge/ bigsby combo as the bigsby is my favorite sounding/feeling trem. what do you guys think? anybody ever try that?
