probably. the american pups should be fuller sounding. with more clarity. less brittle and harsh than the japanese pups.
what i can say for definate is that you'll have a reverse wound/reverse poled neck pup, so that when you have both pups on there will be a 60 cycle hum noise cancelling effect. and the american pups are wax potted, so there should be less feedback.
