Crafted in japan OR Made in japan........

Hey Vonzipper here, What is the dif between the...Crafted in japan and the made in japan jaguar reissues?Is one better than the other?If you had a choice witch one would you get?............

After about 1994, for some reason they changed the decal to "Crafted in Japan". There were no changes in production whatsoever, they just decided to change the serial number layout and change the wording while they were at it. Absolutely no difference whatsoever.

if i were buying a japanese fender, i wouldn't even pay any attention to whether it were "made" or "crafted"

OK thanks for the feedback.I heard that made in japan had cheaper wood bodies and the crafted in japan had alder bodies?Im playing a 1964 mustang daphne blue all original even the case got it years ago at a guitar show in san jose ca.I love the thing but dont like the hard miles on it,and looking into a jag reissue.Well thanks again.....Vonzipper

The wood that's used changes from time to time, but the Crafted/Made transition brought about absolutely no change in the manufactering. It's nothing signifcant, there's nothing "special" about an old MIJ compared to a CIJ.
