dude you need to think of the people who make your major purchases possible... your dad and his extra $600 or whatever were trying to give you something special that you'd been raving about, next day it's suddenly not good enough and has to be swapped?

anyways, since you're keeping it i can tell you that i use my jag with 10's, a TOM (epiphone are best because they drop in with no mods, and more importantly, no tape) and the whammy bar works fine (better actually). the guitar doesn't go out of tune and it's my most versatile guitar with it's current set-up (i take it to a jam if i can't decide between strat or LP).
