i already have one, cost me barely a grand and it's 33 years old.

that's insane. even the regular non-hendrix-branded re-issue of the superlead is insanely priced though. it's just marshall being marshall as usual.

i don't know why everyone's obsessed with hendrix gear. his tone was generally a different shade of crap at every concert. it's not like a strat through a marshall plexi stack sounds like Electric Ladyland or anything. does ritchie blackmore have the same tone as hendrix? yngwie? craig nichols from The Vines? how about noel gallagher, he just sounds like Cream-era Clapton, right?

Hendrix has a nice studio tone but an insane live tone for sure. Paul you have a vintage marshall? I got a plexi that cost me 850 there good amps but 6 grand is nuts, like you said man its just people obsessed with Hendrix.

it's a transition head from when they'd started replacing the plexi panels with aluminium, but before they started using printed circuit boards instead of hand-wiring the circuit on tagboards.

Wow, that actually looks really simple inside, I was expecting much more, crazy how the simplest things often sound the best.

not paul but I can explain pretty well I think Input 1 is your treble with high sensetivity,input 2 on the right is a bass/middle tone at high sensetivity and the number 1 and number 2 inputs on the bottom are the lower sensetivity. You can daisy chain the low input to a high input for a nice tone I use Treble high input 1 and daisy chain the low sensetivity treble to the high sensetivity bass sounds great.

put simply, there's two inputs for each channel. channel I is bright, channel II is dark.... if you connect one of channel I's inputs to one of channel II's inputs with a little patch cable, you can mix in volume from each channel, giving you an extra bass/treble adjustment. it's true that the two inputs on each channel are different sensitivities, so depending on which channel of I you link to which channel of II, there are a lot of tonal options.

i could NEVER just plug into one input of an old marshall.... either ear-piercing or ruddy muddy.
