I'm kinda shocked that something in such good condition could be from 1958... beutiful though, if I had 10 grand and was left handed I'd pick that up.

Especially the controlplate, but in a way, the bridge doesn't look that old/

don't even think that is legit....

just look at that "LEFT HAND" looks like a 5 yr old wrote it, +the lack of age in the parts so it probably isn't "100% original" either

Shouldnt the pickguard have 5 holes? why is the pickguard white not aged white.

the explanation mark looks stupid, surely anyone with sense would realise its different to a right handed one.

if it's been left under a bed, in its case for 50 years, i see no reason why the parts should look old. i'm no expert on teles/esquires, but i see nothing saying definate fake. they used to write things in any old way. the tuners look a bit amateurishly installed though. maybe worth a trip over to the telecaster forum, for expert reading

I've seen that seller sell many other geniune guitars like that, I wouldn't see how that could be fake. If they didn't make many lefties, why wouldn't they write stuff on it like that? Meh...

As has already been stated, the condition can turn out to be surprising, particularly if the guitar has been stored for a considerable amount of time. However unlikely that may sound, it isn't unheard of.

I'll freely admit that I'm no expert on tele's, so I cannot conclusively say that this is a fake (I don't have much reason to think that at the moment anyway; to me it seems genuine).

I'm no tele expert too, so I can't tell whether it's a fake or not. Surprising the saddles look brand new (no signs of any wear/rust). But It'd be interesting to how much this baby fetches...

Looking at where the neck is taken off, that neck has blatantly been on that guitar a bloody long time, even if it's not totally genuine, it's still bloody old!

That's because you treat your guitars like ####. Your Cyclone is rusty, that implies you've been keeping it in awful conditions. The owner of this took very, very good care of it by the looks of it, the only aging is that on the components that age on their own. Clearly whoever the one of a kind lefty was made for really took good care of it and decided not to play it.

I think its quite likely that its not 100% original. Plastic still ages even if its stored, it would need to be in a vaccuum not to age.

No, I treat My guitars well and never take them for granted. It was more rusty on the stand where I bought then it was when I got it home.

mybe he kept it in a Hoover inside the case inside his mums hoover vac and it said mint FOREVER!

Well then, that's the previous owner's fault, how can you possibly say that the Esquire is fake just because your second hand instrument is in worse condition?

plastic will age in sunlight a lot. but if that's been in its case...

also, i don't think those old 50's pickguards were nitrate, like the 60s ones. so they don't contort and shrink as much
