it's about 85% done. i actually took a long break because my dad had double bypass surgery and he'd been helping me understand why i'm doing what the tutorial is telling me to do. i know how anxious he is to hear it for the first time, so i left it for awhile and we're planning on finishing up sometime in the next 2 weeks. it would have been done aaaages ago if i'd had gone full speed, so that's one aspect of the experiment that'll have tainted results. i'll be cross-posting like a mofo once it's done tho.
lately the white headcase has been catching my eye and making me wanna work faster, so i have the tagboard loosely assembled/wired and really the only thing i haven't done at all yet is wiring the pots (which, using a very organised system braiding the various wires while soldering, is going to take time).
depending on which update you saw last, i have all the transformers/chokes/tube sockets mounted to the chassis and i've gone ahead and stuck the plexi panels on there too, which means when i slide the chassis into the case it looks all-together. won't be long now.
