right off the bat...i am new to all of this, but am trying...my son is becoming quite the musician, i play some, have pretty good ear and rhythm...anyway, decided to order an electric guitar which i have always wanted--a rickenbacker 360 jetglo--turns out i won't get one until sometime next year, figured it might be a good investment if anything...so, my son and i thought we might tackle 'building' a Mustang...i was and am a nirvana fan...and he has become a fan as well...so, found an original body and reissue neck...can only hope that works out...i have spent WEEKS getting the body to look good...decided to 'paint it black'...ordered after-market parts because original parts would break most...not that after-market are inexpensive...i guess Kurt really opened the market for these guitars even though he gave them no real credit...my problem now is i am almost ready to piece it all together and the tremolo tailpiece and control plate came with no screws and i can't seem to find a place that specifically tells me what i need to attach the tremolo...i was told pickguard screws should attach the control plate... but all i can find out about the tremolo is maybe #6--1 inch, does this sound right...i don't want to mess with 'integrity' of the body..also, from what little i've read in this forum...are seymour duncan pickups not good... because i just ordered Antiquity II neck and bridge pickups and they weren't cheap...will appreciate any 'feedback' so to speak
