Lace Sensor pickups

I have been thinking about putting Lace Sensor red in the bridge and silver in the neck position in my 69 reissue mustang - have anyone got any experience with Lace Sensor pickups?

Hello! I am new to these forums, but have the same question as embah. I just wish the classic Mustang pickup covers fit on the JB or hot rail, otherwise I would go with those. It's also too bad it's nearly impossible to find the black covered lace sensors sice they've been discontinued. (or so I presume after talking to numerous people and websites) But long and short of it is I have found come black covered laces and feel they are best tonally and cometically and double checking before I go rushing off and purchasing them. So, please if anybody has experience with these please post!

Lace Sensors are very definitely available in black.

I've considered putting them on my Mustang, but I opted for American Standards, due to a little more bass, which I liked.

Sensors are great. There's no 60Hz hum, they don't drag your strings (thus helping intonation), and they have this very lively tone that makes chords jump out. I owned a Strat Plus with gold Sensors and it was niiiice.

i have a lace sensor red in my custom tele.

personally, its a good pup, but.... the 20 dollar p-90 i put in the neck is way way way way way better than the lace which was around 65.00

its decent. if i could go back in time i would get a duncan instead or a noiseless.

I've got a gold lace sensor in the mid of my strat copy, I like it, it's really nice, I tend to use it mostly in conjunction with the bridge pickup (which is from a USA Fender strat, 2000 I think) but it sounds awesome.

Actually I contacted Fender and their rep said they "are no longer available", you can still find them but not in any stores and they're harder to find now.

Fender don't endorse Lace Sensors anymore, but you can still get them from the Lace Company.

Aye. But... don't fear. If you want 'em, they're still up for grabs. The Lace brand ones are a little cheaper than the Fender brand ones were I believe!

Thanks! Somehow I overlooked Lace themselves. I have decided to go with the DiMarzio Supre Distortion S (DP218) anyways, that way I can fit the stock covers over them and get a great sound.

I doubt the covers will fit the Super Distortion S.
