  1. Well years after I made that initial post I got the mustang, 1969 competition
  2. I have had some issues with the saddles on my mexican stratocaster, and I want to replace them. The strat I got New in 2003. Does anyone know good saddles for replacements, when I went to guitar center they told me two kinds might work regular and narrow, i was wondering if anyone knew what would work for my guitar. Any help is great thanks
  3. Nah it's definately the epiphone Olympic check, a picture of it, then look at the guitar she using in the video. The guitar in the video has the pickguard extendign around both pickups like the olympic, the wilshire doesn't have the same kind of pickguard. Picture of olympic http://www.gbase.com/gear/epiphone-olym ... herry-red#
  4. Looks like the epiphone olympic double to me, cause the wilshire doesn't have a pickguard that goes around the pickups http://home.provide.net/~cfh/epiphon2.html
  5. Can someones please tell me what kind of guitar this is, i think it might be a gibson because it has a similar neck to a firebird, but the bodies don't match.
  6. I thought this was a pretty cool picture I didn't know Mick Jagger played a jaguar http://images.coveralia.com/audio/t/The ... rontal.jpg
  7. Some of you might already know this, but Billy Corgan played a red fender mustang looks like a 65, here's a vid of it
  8. I played a 1963 dou sonic today that looked exactly like this one in a little better condition it was a great guitar, affordable too, they only wanted 899 for it.
  9. A friend of mine is selling his lake placid blue jaguar with a matching headstock, it is a jappanese, reissue it is not in the best condition, but is not in horrible condition. I am thinking about buying it from him, how much is the guitar worth?
  10. I had a good laugh after reading this, I hope you do too http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-Stratocaster ... 7C294%3A25
  11. Fender has been bringing back a lot of the vintage models within the last couple years, like the sonic youth jazzmaster, the jaguars, and the regular jazzmasters, does this mean that sooner or later we'll get more mustang models avalible in the u.s. Just curious what you think or if you have an information on the subject, thanks.
  12. Yo you talking about the Mr. Music in Brighton
  13. Nice Mustang, the colors are pretty cool
  14. Not sure i like them all, maybe badest, sappy, or verse chorus verse, or Do Re Mi
  15. are you kidding? shortscale.org knows #### (theres even a stupid guy called mike who claims jagstang has the same neck as mustang, and he even didnt owned a jagstang, jeezzz), a gut from offsetguitars bought it, i almoast got it but was late, than i later contacted him and he said maybe he would sell it to me, cause he has to sell his another mustang (which is his girlfriends favourite guitar) for keeping this red one and later that day he realises it is the sonic youth mustang, ohhh welll anyway i am glad many of you feel the same about shortscale.org, really strange forum, i like the offsets the best, but this forum is also neet, i visit it regularly but dont post much. btw mustang and jag stangs have the same necks
  16. I thought this was a cool pic of hendrix playing a dou sonic, so yeah i just wanted to share it http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/ind ... 579.0.html
  17. Thanks, just to think that it was on ebay and any of us could have picked it up
  18. I saw this article on google news, i am not a big sonic youth fan, but i was wondering if anyone knows anything about this guitar, apparently it was stolen a decade ago and on ebay recently. http://blogs.riverfronttimes.com/atoz/2 ... _steve.php
  19. Yeah i know, but it's also on his suicide note.
  20. The Mustang that sold for 100G, I have theories that that is the infamous finish-less mustang with the Soundgarden sticker and the record for a pickguard possibly, but I don't know for sure since I have not seen a picture of the guitar that sold, or I would maybe know which stang is was. I did see a picture of kurt with a Burst righty Mustang being played upside down recently, but I doubt it's that guitar. And yes, I'm the guy on youtube. I've got multiple vids of my guitars on there, plus game genie codes, circuit bending, and the occasional rant or two. you are badass at the guitar dude....i wish i could play like you The one that sold for 100G is the one that he smashed in boston in 89, he duck taped it back together and sold it. Acually that is why when he played Green street station In jamacia plain, he played nine songs only singing cause he didn't have a guitar, i actually know someone who went to that concert
  21. The color looks almost exact if you ask me, alittle more to the sonic blue tone, looks really neat can't want to see how it looks put back together. And for your mustang project maybe wanna try to make a mustang with the competion stripes.
  22. I AGREE EVERYTHING IS OVERPRICED, TRY TO BUY A DAMN VINTAGE MUSTANG, AND ITS GONNA SET YOU BACK ATLEAST 1500. PEOPLE HAVE TO BE REASONABLE MUSTANG ARE GREAT GUITARS BUT THEY WERE MADE AS A ENTRY LEVEL OR STUDENT MODEL, THEY SHOULD BE 1000 BUCKS MOST FOR A VINTAGE ESPECIALLY IN THIS ECONOMEY
