  2. After a brief amount of trauma over a blue competition Mustang I had paid for and was refunded (hopefully the seller reconsiders because I still would like it) I found this lovely guitar. It is a 1968 serial number Competition Red Fender Mustang. Neck date is January 15, 1969. I am pretty sure this is one of the early ones because it still has Kluson tuners instead of the 70's "F" tuners. It also came with an original case and tremolo arm. Just missing a bridge cover as far as I can tell. (The seller is putting the original knobs on and taking the speed knobs off.) Here are the listing pic
  3. Polychorus came in yesterday! Very cool! Have to mess with the knobs to get the Nirvana sounds, but they are there if you fiddle with them. I like the way it can make your sound more metallic or tinny. IMG_3439 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr
  4. Oh due to my issues Roland is sending me a free Boss shirt. Nice way to say sorry, so that is cool of them.
  5. The amp came in. I found out one of the four speaker mounting bolts wasn't attached to anything. The baffle was broken. IMG_3432 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr I put the three good bolts in and added wood screws in the four other holes straight in to the baffle board to make sure it was secure. While it was apart I tested the chorus and tremolo. Using my footswitch from my VHT Special 6 I was able to turn them both on or off so I actually didn't need a new switch after all. I put the casters back on with nice screws and got it all put back together. IMG_3433 by Hentai No Baka, on
  6. Got it all wired up! Just need strings. IMG_3441 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr IMG_3443 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr IMG_3444 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr
  7. Yup. The high pass filter is out. The pickups are much louder, but not in a bad way or anything. Some of my pedals seem to like humbuckers over single coils. It is nice to have a variety of guitars to get different sounds. Sounds like a fun guitar you have. You should post pictures! I love seeing guitars.

  9. Thank you. I am glad you like the pictures.
  10. This video inspired me. His tele looks really rad. Basic. Simple. Kind of the opposite of what I normally do. No knobs. No switches. One pickup. Got me thinking this Squier would be a good candidate for it. The pickups were ok, but I saw a lil '59 for tele bridge for $40 so I jumped on that for it. Same ideal. Nothing but a pickup to jack. Pickguard will stay on as well as the plate, but it will be empty. Emptied out. IMG_3430 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr Kind of what it will look like. (But with a humbucker installed and the wires won't be hanging out.) IMG_3429 by H

  12. Demo. It is long but my camera actually ran out of storage space while I was messing around with settings and it got cut off. Gives you some of the sounds it can make.
  13. Flanger Hoax came in today and is really fun. Great phaser sounds, interesting flanger stuff, tremolo sounds, chorus sounds, strange fuzz and noise, sci fi sounds, and more. Grest for people who like to fiddle with knobs. So many options it is crazy. I will do a demo of playing with knobs later when kids nap.
  14. Chrome corners came! Look great! Matches the head so much better. IMG_3415 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr IMG_3419 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr IMG_3422 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr IMG_3423 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr
  15. Freaking Roland sent me a power switch. I am pissed at the lady I talked to on the phone when I ordered it. She asked "Is it the power switch on the far right?" I said NO, it is the switch for the Chorus and Tremolo. It is to the left of the power switch at the end of all the knobs. LAME. Now I need to send that back and see if they can send me the part I actually want... LOL
  16. I was trying to pick up a Polychorus but was having trouble so yesterday I got this. flangerhoax by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr The Electro Harmonix Flanger Hoax. It is a phaser pedal with a buch of interesting modulations and settings. You can make some really interesting sounds with it. It does a phaser well of course, but also does strange radio and sci fi noises and such. Reminds me of some things I have heard on the Dark Side of the Moon album. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I buy this to fill my need for audio tweaking, I get a PM about an original Polychorus.... SO now I have that c
  17. thepastrecedes is working on a custom Big Muff based off of a violet Ram's Head circuit with an 18v power with sag control and a prescence knob. I am excited to get to play with it. I think it will contrast my opamp muff and give me a bit more treble. (Especially with the mods.) He let me design my own decal for it with his preferred layout. This is what I came up with based off of the reverse muff. (I love the black and red on that.) muff by Eleventh Division LLC, on Flickr He sent me this pic of the box today. Looking SWEET! 18. I was trying to make sense of the switch wiring on the diagram and it was ultimately confusing me until I saw this switch type. switch by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr In position one it connects the top and lower middle pins. Middle connects the two inner ones. Third position does the lower two. Interesting. Another funny fact. Roland email support emailed me today saying they don't have the switch anymore. I explained that their phone support sold me one yesterday. Their reply was that maybe phone support has a seperate stash of them. Seemed really odd. Hopefully I wasn't sold the wrong part
  19. Could. It would be fun to match levels. LOL
  20. Picked this up from jagajaguar. jc_1_zps738f5a27 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr Heard good things about the JC-120 but the smaller size of the 50 was appealing to me. Only thing I need to work on with it as far as I know is the switch. It has a on/on switch where the three way switch used to be. image_zps94c749d9 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr Here is the inside. switch_3_zpse88b2fbe by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr switch_1_zps04743805 by Hentai No Baka, on Flickr Good news. I ordered a replacement switch. ($36 shipped. OUCH) GREAT news. This schematic
  21. Make sure you order a tele pocket and not a strat on then or you will have a gap where the strat neck curves and the tele doesn't.
  22. Nice that you found someone who cared about helping get things all set up well. Never understand techs who insult customer's guitars. They get paid to do the work. Not their place to insult a customer....
