  1. I am now the proud owner of 1976 sunburst fender jazzmaster. It came with the original case, hang tags, bridge cover, etc... it plays like a dream, and is a major step up from the guitar I had to sell to help offset my costs. I dont have pictures right now, as I am living in the dorms at college, and definately dont have this guitar with me. Anyway, it's really nice to own a guitar that will probably last me a good chunk of my guitar playing life.
  2. hey, thanks for the help all. Also, my sg jr is an older model, like 97ish I do believe, sounds pretty descent for a cheap guitar, but I havent gone home from college yet to test it against my heavily loaded strat, so I guess I'll have to wait and see. Thanks again
  3. hey, thanks, you're comments are similar to what I was thinking, but it's nice to have the oppinion of someone else, especially when their opinion is the same.
  4. hey, I recently acquired an epiphone sg jr. from the late 90's with a single p-90. I want to use it as my back up guitar, so I ordered a knock off bigsby to install on it. what I need to know is, does the placement behind the bridge of the bigsby trem, have any affect on the intonation (or anything of the sorts) on the guitar? any info would be a big help, thanks
  5. I played the squier modified jazz bass, damn nice bass. I've been playing bass for about 8 years, and that guitar definately beats a standard fender, and played side by side through the same amp against and american jazz, the sound wasn't far off. really, a great bass
  6. no one has mentioned anyone from the ventures, the best selling guitar group of all time, and some fantastic surf guitar playing. Dick dale, is on that top 100 list, and if Slash is a better guitar player than dick dale, I think there is something wrong with the world
  7. mixolydion, you sneaky son of a bitch, I know who you are, cuz troy graham is on the list. He's more of an aionion kind of player
  8. thanks guys, it turned out to be a bad pre-amp tube. and I love the way the amp sounds through the 2-12, it's fantastic. I highly recomend it.
  9. hey, I play a blues junior through a 2-12 cab, and it just started making this 'popping noise", and the noise is quite persistant and noisey. Anyone have any ideas about what might be the cause of this problem?
  10. that guitar is a piece of junk, why dont u just start a grunge band. you could give it a crappy name like shutterbilk mancakes
