  1. I have Flatwound 12s on my Bronco currently. Feels fine, no buzzing. My guitars never buzz though. None of them.
  2. Why would anyone try to make a fake reissue Mustang?
  3. I have the '65 RI Twin, although I was talking to this guy the other day who had an evil Twin, and he said the overdrive was really brilliant on it.
  4. Yeah, that makes sense. I'm quite a small guy which puts me off but casters+bandmates=pieceofpiss! I'm really smitten with the one I've tried out which was a 70's silverface with customized speakers. I'd like to look at a newer one with an effects loop so that you can put delay after the vibrato etc. Maybe a mod job could be done on an older model? I don't think the newer ones would sound as sweet, or look as charming. In my opinion the reissues are better than the '70s ones. I tried about three silverface '70s Twins before testing out the RI, and although they're really not much differ
  5. It's a bit of a bitch to carry up stairs and such, but not to bad, and if someone helps it's nothing. I put casters on mine though, so I normally just push it along.
  6. I love my Twin. It's one of the most versatile, simple, and natural sounding amps out there.
  7. Yeah right, even if there was a difference in sound between the two, Cobain would have been able to tell.
  8. $150? Bull####. Just do it yourself.
  9. I don't believe the pickguard will fit properly, and I don't know about the rest of the parts. Why not just refinish your guitar?
  10. The reissue is a fine guitar, the people who have problems with them tend to suck at playing. I'd say go with the warmoth though, that way you could get exactly what you want.
  11. You must now post more pics.
  12. You'll atleast have to remove them from the tuners, but you can leave them on the bridge end. It'd be better to just change the strings though, when you restring it the old strings will sound dead, and probably wont hold tune very well.
  13. You don't want a modified mustang bridge, you just want the normal one. The modified bridge is for their necks which have a compound radius. I think.
  14. I believe there have been atleast a few who mysteriously been dated to '93-'94. Makes me believe that Jag-stang was put into production in late '94, but possibly only available in Japan until '95. I really don't know, though.
  15. I've seen Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse with one.
  16. It'll look terrible. Assuming your Mustang is a RI, it's made of basswood, which doesn't have the grain for natural finishes.
  17. Surely your Jag-stang is completely out of intonation...
  18. Sounds like a good choice. What headstock are you doing?
  19. Yeah, the fingerboard wood will definatly affect the sound. Maple tends to be brighter than Rosewood, but it's really not so noticable, and I think it's better to go with the one that feels better to you.
  20. What kind of a funk player are you!?
