Hello. First post so bear with me. I have a chance to buy a jazzmaster in near mint condition but i am having trouble figuring out year or provenance. Serial number is E671582. It is found where the neck meets the body on a gold coloured script. There is a gold strip above but nothing on it. Was told it was made in Japan with Amercan parts.

Anyone help?

Thanks

Andy

It says for that SN , so it may  be a valid Sn made sometime in the 80's . Click the Japanese made button
