jhalliday89 1 Report post Posted January 26, 2018 Hi guys, Just recently acquired my first Mustang, CIJ competition reissue. I've seen some youtubers commenting that 10-46 are too light for a short scale and can damage the neck/truss rod over time. I never seem to have had any trouble on my jag with the same gauge slinkies but my set up knowledge is fairly limited. If this is a ridiculous question please abuse appropriately.
