The auction has now closed and the Fiesta Red prototype jag-stang has a winning bid of $93,750.

The Kurt Cobain Fender Jag-Stang Fiesta Red prototype is currently up for auction at Julien's Auctions. This is part of a “Music Icons 2018 Auction Lot” with some other guitars and music related collectibles.

There are not any detailed photos included in the listing of the prototype jag-stang. Provenance is provided by “Fender Museum of the Arts Foundation”. The prototype apparently has a serial number of V069200 on the neckplate which is different than regular production jag-stangs that have the serial number on the base of the neck above the neck joint.

Also included in the auction is the design drawing done by Kurt for the Jag-Stang.

If anyone comes across more details of the prototype in this auction let us know!
