hi guys. i'm new here and i have a 75 musicmaster.
i got an insane deal on it because it had been painted red by the previous owner (a friend of mine, hence the deal) and was planning on using it as a project guitar but had no time to do it. I'm thinking of doing a duo-sonic/mustang-type conversion... the reason why i can't decide on either duo sonic or mustang is from what i understand (and what i've played), the mustang trem is quite crap....
then i came across this jag trem thingy, and it seemed like a much better alternative... I always liked JM/Jag trems much better than mustang trems, but
..has anyone actually tried this?
first of all, i'd have to drill new cavities in my musicmaster, but i don't even know if the musicmaster body is thick enough to facilitate the jag trem in the first place, as the trem cavity on the jag seems pretty deep (if anyone could tell me HOW deep exactly, i would love you forever 😉 )...
what do you guys think? i think its a pretty wicked idea, but i don't know if the fact that listened to 'loveless' hundreds of times in high school is clouding my judgement...
here it is:

i think the red gives it a very mustang-y vibe, as i don't think the musicmaster was originally sold in this colour
