well of course it isn't a fake.
ignore and avoid using those MIJ and CIJ expressions. they are all just Japanese jaguars. the decal changed somewhere in the mid 90's. also, ignore that japanese fender dating system that fender showed us. it's obviously completely unreliable (i'm taking the link to it off my site, and encouraging david to ommit it from his FAQ).
date it like you just have done. ie, looking at the stamp in the neck pocket. the "JG-66" just means it's a jaguar (reissue year is wrong, but whatever). and the stamp in the neck pocket "JG-ex", think means it's a blonde/aged white (though it looks like normal olympic white to me in the photos). "feb '99", that's the true date of manufacture.
i don't know what you're talking about with the B and A thing. they didn't even make japanese jaguars in the late 70's
