As I see it, this discussion seems to be about little details. The differences mentioned here aren't probably noticeable for an average guitarist without (or even with) having these two guitars next to each other. The Jag-Stang model is designed by Kurt Cobain, so for a 14-year-old Nirvana fan it must be the best guitar model one can get. And it isn't as common as basic Stratocaster. I don't know "NeoCult" in person but I think there's no reason to worry, at least because of this discussion thread anyway..
