I've lost the tremolo arm (and allen screw) on my Mustang and I also replaced the crappy plastic knobs. I assume this alone would render my guitar not worth selling secondhand let alone adding other mods to it. Sometimes, even colour can affect sale value, which is why black, white and sunburst are still the main 3 use on Fenders (blonde on Teles).
