04 american jaguar in ocean turq.

i have since taken the buzz stop off and put a mustang bridge on it. thats it. best damn guitar ever@!!!

Here is my two.. The Jaguar pickguart is going to be changed. I just recived the parcel with parts.

ho offense aug but i honestly liked the original guard. for some reason im not digging the red tort on the sonic blue, works on the mustang, but the jag..... im not too sure about that one.

nice thread idea, theres already a thread with pictures of everones guitars but we dont have a jag-jazz picture thread

on second thought, i just found a 90s american jaguar for 400 euros, but i really want a cij jazzmaster. i think the jag is a far better bargain, help me decide. please?

Buy it and sell it on, then get both of them in CIJ 😁

no, i've decided, im getting the jazzmaster.the guy is not really 'selling' the jaguar, hes not putting ads or anything so it will be waiting for me for about 1 or 2 years when i get the money

It's one of those late 60s guitars cobbled together from pre-CBS warehouse spares.

No, I've never seen them anywhere either, except on CBS stuff from the late 60s onwards.

I think the paintjob was known as 'Midnight Blue'. I once saw a strat for sale from the same period that was identical in colour...who wants a bleedin' strat though! 😛

Out of interest I just googled 'Midnight Blue' and Fender's site came up with this:

Me thinks they've toned it down slightly in the pic as the ones I've seen look more like this:

Which is close to the original 60s finish...but still no cigar! Probably hard to tell from my photo, but the finish is a little more bluish in real life (the flash made it look more wine coloured).
