Hmmm, OK, Rob, I've been looking around a bit at router bits, and I'm confused about the bearing thing now. Not confused about where it goes, standing the bit with the cutting end up, the bearing needs to be at the bottom of the cutting part. But I'm confused about weather the bit comes with a bearing, this site for example: http://www.infinitytools.co.uk/shop/3/index.htm, makes out that it is an accessory purchase, however, I can't see where you purchase it from if it is, and they don't picture any of their strait bits having it. 😕

OK, so its all done,

strung up, intoation is set, action is fantastic, it sounds really good.

BUT!!!

i made a 25 1/2 scale neck but i souted the body for a 24 scale( i gots shortscalez on my mind.....)

but anywho, i spent about 6 hours yesterday puting small shims in the neck pocket and movin the bridge back as far as it would go( which means that there are visibly filled holes and an open spot by the trem, which don;t look too bad but its still annoying, i figure since i ####ed up and since he painted everything that he shouldn't have then i will only charge him 450.00 for everything

i went against what i said about the headstock.

as it turns out none of the strings touch and its really cool cuz it does a cascading effect past the nut.

Only problem with the site you gave Rob is that I'm in the UK and you're in the US.

That thing does look really good, the cream pickups against the colour are growing on me now. Still not too big a fan of the shape, but appart from that it does look awesome. Good work.

Quick question, why is there a slight dip in the butt of the neck, just after the last frett, clearly visible in this shot:

thats the butt of the buitar, pun intended.

i did it for ####s and giggles and i thought it fit the general style of the guitar.

it looks a bit better now that its been sanded and laquerd a bit.

im sorry man, i keep forgetting that you are in the uk.

it wouldn;t be a bad idea to get some bearings and then some bits, even if the bits come with, you will have a backup set, and it pays off.

Soon as I get back home, next month, after all this is over, I'm going to start making some progress on my bass, so I'll need to get the router bits then. So cheers, Rob.
