hey nik mine is that smokie color as well. I compareed mine to another kids (03) re-issue and the difference was pretty intense mine is almost greenish looking compared to his blue. I like the smoked out color tho, even my guard looks like an aged yellow

Ahh, so there is such a thing as one JS being greener than another. Sucked in you bell-ends.

Yeah my pickups, pickguard and selector switches are all aged yellow. How old is your JS Roberto? Mines like a '97.

do you think it might have to do with the aging of the guitar? i've got a '97, and it does look a few shades different from the newer batch. no complaints here if that is the case. . . i think guitars start off looking great, but looking better as they age.

mine is a really early 96, the guy i bought it off of got it in new york like feb of 96 or something, then i got it off of him in 98 and ive had it ever since. i don;t play mine that much anymore tho, i usually play my f-tele with rails in bridge or my jaguar.

could be the pickup covers and pickgaurd yellow and then the body looks different by comparison. and i would bet exposure to cigarettes or UV light would discolor anything. the neck on my ibanez is finished in poly, and it was almost white when i got it. after playing a few bars and sitting in the sun on and off since it was made in '98, the neck is an amber color.

I don't think so. The colour is definitley a greenish shade of blue. Yes, even when I open my shades. I don't know whether it is because of Ageing or it is indeed a slightly different mix of paint but it's greener than a new Sonic Blue Mustang I saw in the shop.

Looks like I'll have to buy another SonicBlue JS and put them side by side to show y'all the difference.

my 99 JagStang's pickguard is yellowing on the white part, but the pearly part is I guess the same. Looks like snot.

Do you smoke? Just wondering. I smoke and wonder is it effects my guitars. I clean so much tar off everything it m house, I would guess I get even more on my guitars.

i've taken pics of mine in various light conditions and it's never looked as green as some of the pics that get posted on here.

My JS has always looked green to me. I have a can of surf green and a can of nitro on the way from reranch. Since I destroyed the strat, I think I'll refin my Yamaha bass with it....I'll post pics of the difference. Should be mildly interesting (or not)

greenish and redish colors differ from eye to eye and that IS a medical fact... so the mumbling about sonic blue and fiesta red MUST someday stop.. PLUS lighting differs , my jagstang looks more surf green to me and less sonic blue.. my mate says i am on drugs everytime i claim it.
