What's the best replacement bridge for Jaguar?

Wow guys, I don't logon for 48 some hours and I get a mass ammount of replies! Awesome.

Was a great read and I've come to the conclusion that I'll first try out the 11s on my Mustang bridge which was my first thoughts on the matter anyway.

Question, if I replace the Mustang saddles and put them on the original (CIJ) Jaguar bridge would that at all make a difference to the current Mustang bridge?

Like, I got the mustang bridge from GPR.com and maybe I was thinking that the 'official' Fender gear from Japan might be a little closer to the actual thing than the GPR ones.

agreed. And a lot of people put mustang saddles on the Jag/Jazzy bridge but I think it's because they just bought the saddles instead of the entire bridge. I don't think that it'd make much difference which bridge you use as long as it has the saddles.

Even Rick, the foremost proponent of the stock Jaguar uses aftermarket copies of the mustang saddles on his Jag.

I think you'll find that I am the foremost proponent of the stock jaguar bridge as I don't reccomend changing it out at all, just setting it up properly.

no, it only fixes the problems of having a neck that is the wrong radius (ie the warmoth neck) and non-adjustable saddles (ie the mustang saddles). for a standard radius jag neck the mustang bridge is the sensible option rather than the warmtoh modified mustang bridge.

Back to the string from the tuner to the nut, not mentioned so far, I think, is that with a string tree you now have two short strings so with the same force they will not oscillate/vibrate the same as one string and each of the two will have a higher frequency/pitch than one string which may not be as noticeable because it takes more force to get the same amplitude/volume.
