i envy your Mustang so much i want one or two ha. Mustangs are my favorite guitars next to the jaguar in terms of look, my Townshend is my back up and that was like 4 grand my mustangs where 600 each. I use a Marshall Half Stack and a Vox valvestate. but can anybody help me get the damn springs that adjust the PUP heigh to stay in place on my 66' so i can try and get this Pickguard back on. please

Sorry man, but that is one guitar i will never let go. ...as far as the springs go.. i really dont understand what your asking. They dont ajust?

AH man i wouldnt sell it either but no i toke the pickguard off my mustang to find the original color which was Dakota Red but now when im trying to get the PG back on the springs to adjust the height keep getting pulled out of place down toward the PU magnets.

Its so annoying cause of the magnetic pull of the PU its making my screw diver magnetic so all the screws and stuff go flying at it lol

wow and this is a 66? and the mags are that strong? i have a 65 and it had very weak magnetic pull. anyways.. sorry im kinda tired and may not understang completly what your saying. 😡

I might need to replace the bridge just now it looks like its been burned a long time ago and someone used electric tape to hold it 2gether 😈

people tape the bridge posts to stop them moving

No now what i meant by the bridge was the bridge pickup. it seems the wire to the top switch burnt out and was taped with electrical tape that has since fallen out. Noo i didnt take the pups out its some for some reason they screws by the switched went into allen locks which confused me alot. I will try and get some pics on here if I can.

I dont think im gonna be getting pictures on here. I think im just gonna take it to a repair guy cause the more i see things around the guitar the more things the last owner really screwed things up and complicated that guitar. also how can i see if the PUPs are the original i looked under them and i just need to know what the numbers mean nd where the year would be.

I'll see what i can do once my phone is on but im not to eager to turn my phone on. But also that Mustang really pissed me off so i got so close to smashing my strat copy but i contained myself you can see what the actual guitar looks like here.
