Um....no. Yes, the humbucker is low output. So is the neck pup. The tuners are sub-par, the nut is crap and until all these issues are resolved on the guitar, tuning stability will never exist.

i am going to keep my arguement focused on the tuners here because arguing about the jagstang is an endless arguement for the overpayed college prof.'s of the future... that being said:

i don't get it. i switch out all my tuners for repleca's for these "sub-par" tuners on all of my guitars on purpose because I like them so much.

I wouldn't be caught dead using anything but these tuners

one mans trash is another's treasure.

I still have the original tuners for my JS...I just didn't care for them. However, the stock Kluson's on my mustang are fine...

Perhaps it's more of a personal preference...

he didn't. his was a prototype. it had a pickup in it that was not made for public use. a dimarzio H3 or something.

best bet is somewhere online. they're cheaper from the us. you can get them in some guitar shops, but i don't know where you live so i can't recommend one.

The tuners on my JS and Jag Special are the same and I reckon they're great. They seem solid, move freely when you turn them, and don't move when you don't touch them. Nut seems ok to me too.
