I would definitely prefer Cobalt Blue if I could find it. My Telecaster is black w/ white pickguard and I really don't like the color. Not that it matters, but given a choice I will make a choice 😀

As someone that owned the Cyclone, do you remeber the neck finish? Light gloss, heavy gloss, satin..?

Thats the guitars only downfall. it was satin, or maybe didnt even have any finish, it was pretty raw. I also had to file the edge of the frets, they were sharp and cut me up a few times.

I LOVE the satin finish on my Jagmaster, but satin finish and no finish aint the same thing, of course.

Funny you should mention raw finish...

Just last night I had a dream that I went to a pawn shop, and saw a Fender Performer for sale for $450. I looked it over and decided not to buy it because the neck had a kind of sandy surface 😁

Expanding on an old topic...

Does anyone know what pickups are in these things? Some sources say is is a Fender Tex-Mex and a Fender Atomic Humbucker, but in a Squier???

Any info would be appreciated.

If anyone has a copy of the original specs pdf from the Squier website, that would be appreciated too. Also, while I'm here, a pdf for the '51 would also be nice 😉
