do you know why fender introduced rosewood?
honestly it was becuz maple wor out and looked bad, plus gibson at the time was taking perfectly good rosewood and ebonizing it for cheap, so leo went.

i believed that wood had everything to do with some until i reall started to butcher my guitars and found that most of the tone i was hearing was just from my playing style.
the fact that i used a 1.5 mm pick with the edges sanded off had more affect on the sound of the guitar than the 5 mms peice of wood that was veneered on the neck.
my telecaster is the deepest damn thing you have ever heard in your life.
its a solid maple neck, no dots on the front. brass nut, mohogony body with maple caps on both sides.
trust me, if you just heard a recording of it you would think it was a p-90 styled les paul. or even a low output humbucker.
its just a straight ahead tele with a jaguar trem and a p-90 in the neck.
its the exact opposite of a les paul but sounds the closest to it, just becuz of the pickup and my style of playing.
