update, with custom pickguard. It fits pretty well on the lower horn, it just needs a bit more filing.

It's currently been primed at the moment, and I purchased the metallic red paint.

Wow. That's how the jag-stang should've looked !!! Straight humbucker, contours and jag trem is must.

I filed my js pickguard also... Maybe you should consider doing the area where pickguard meets control plate for a more consistant line. Maybe you are, I dont know. I took quite a bit off the control plate but not too much incase I wanted to go back to original then it would look awful. So here's what I did...

The pickguard is quite far inside the body didn't have a choice inn the matter.

That's going to be a great guitar !!!

it's not the best colour example. digital cameras have a funny way of interpreting red. it's actually Ford regency red.

I know what you mean about the red. It's supposed to be deeper, good link Here . On Fords color chart CAR is known as Regency Red.

- It's just a tun-o-matic bridge, Slots straight in there no probs.

Tailpiece has just been flipped, the anchor posts had to be cut down to bolt the tailpiece flush to the plate. Then to stop the springs rattling around, they both have an elastic band to support them to where the springs were originally attached. Don't see a vast improvement to doing this alteration. All the mods are reversable though.

I haven't drilled the bridge posts yet because I don't have access to the bridge because my real jagstang is in town where my band practices. I still have a middle reference to drill it though. I purposely haven't drilled the pickguard holes yet either, this will avoid the holes lifting up due to wet sandpaper between coats.

I see you've got one of those stupid metric mustang control plates as well. I bought one not knowing "normal" sized pots wouldn't fit through the holes. Well, it's not that I didn't know the pots wouldn't fit- I didn't know that the plate was metric, so my imperial sized pots didn't fit. Either way, I'm going to have to drill it out.
