Jag-Stang troubles

i just got finished with my project JS and i'm very happy with the results of it..the paint turned out better than i thought it would..it looks amazing..its just how it sounds..with the distortion on..it sounds like when a person is talking through thier nose, like i'm not getting all i can out of it...and when i put it on clean..it sounds too heavy..it sounds like my jagmaster when i have the selector switch all the way up..it sounds too deep..and the selector switches on my js wont work..when i switch it all the settings sound the same..someone please help me..i just want a good sounding jagstang.

maybe you wired it in wrong, and its out of phase

i followed the schematics on the js page....whats out of phase?

it makes the pick up sound weaker. use this diagram its much better than the jagstang diagram

what pick ups did you use?

well in the bridge i got a seymour duncan..it came out of my jagmaster..in the neck i have a fender strat single coil..i think my friend gave me a bridge single coil instead of the neck..does that matter?would that be the reason for the deep sounds?

im not sure, but make sure your wiring is all good and is correct to that diagram, and you know what colors go where of the wires from the humbucker?

ya i just checked and the wiring on it is just like that diagram. i just dont know y it sounds like that..it sucks balls when you have a good guitar and it sounds like crap..i dont know what to do

i think seymour duncans used with fender pick ups need to have the wired attached differently instead of taping of white and red you do something else. i cant remember which ones, but.... pics!

the neck pup on the js seems like it isnt as strong as the humbucker..like you cant hear it as good as the humbucker..idk

hey..maybe i could mess around with the settings on my amp and pedals so it sounds normal?

seymour duncans site says if neck or middle pick up is a fender pick up switch the green and black wires. do that and tell us how it sounds so black and bare to ground green to switch and red and white taped off

when i put my hotrails in my stang i didnt do the fender switch thing and it sounded really thin and bad, i switched it and it sounds great now

what are the specs of your js? is like a standard JS?

yep its almost exactly like a standard js..except the pickguard on mine isnt pearl..its just white..cuz i seen a show where kurt had his js and he had a plain white pickguard on his so i just found one on ebay and bought one and put it on mine..it came in the mail yesterday..i'm still waiting on my waterslide decals though...

i just looked at my single coil and it just has 2 wires..a white and black one..so do i switch thier postitions? white where black is and black where white is?

dont tihnk so, you can try it though. my js has a white pg, i got it cause my orig one was peeling and i liked the look of all white. yours is sonic blue?

i was gonna paint mine sonic blue ut i could find the right color blue so i just painted it red..it looks exactly like the fiesta red js's. so what do u suggest i do with my js? since my single coil just has a black and white wire? my humbucker is the one that has the green and black and white and red taped off..i think.
