AnotherTool The problem you have is that you didn't prep the wood correctly before painting.You're supposed to sand the body upto 320 grit, then maybe spray some laquer (depending on the grain) onto the wood and sand that before you even start painting.
robertoriginal what wood is the body made of?you may need to grain fill it.some people say you have to prime first, i don't think its really needed sometimes.try sanding ALOT with 320, and then grab some 400 and go at it with that.
tylerfender its made of 2 piece ash robert, its the body you sold me 😆 i just didnt want it red anymore and the paint didnt turn out too good, but i said it did cuz i was just excited 😆 i'm planning on buying everything from reranch and doing it over ONE last time. i'm buying the grain filler, the sand and sealer in the spray can, the white primer, sonic blue paint, glossy clear coat, and maybe some of that polishing stuff ...but i have some here at home.
AnotherTool Get all your stuff, and when you're ready to go, i'll dig out the refinishing guide i wrote for someone on here months ago, it's around here somewhere.
tylerfender reranch has all the guitar finishing steps on thier site, and tool you wrote that guide for me like along time ago, i can find it 😆
