id definitely say there is. the trem is huge on the jags sound. humbuckers probably change that jag tone a bit too.

ill keep it with singles for a while but the music i play definitely demands buckers and i prefer there sound, so id most likely do it. its possible id keep the singles.

i dont have one yet, i havent routed anything yet. im just thinking of what i want to do when i get one in the future to satisfy my need sound wise, which is not single coils at this time, could be when i get a jag.

Best to get a guitar that suits your style with humbuckers in it, rather than mod - simple.

I put one in a telecaster project, it sounds great.

Still best not to mess with a vintage tho, better to do it to a squier or a japan model ( I assume they will become collectible soon ! ).

I learnt the hard way modding old mustangs.

at first glance, you'd be safe to assume it's a Musicmaster, but it's not. It's a Swinger.

i'm thinkin about doin he same thing when i get a mustang, putting a humbucker in the bridge, but i dont know how to route it out so i dont know what will happen...hopefully i can find one already done. Or like aug said, i may just put a single coil sized bucker in it, itd be alot easier.
