It wasn't that bad to begin with, i started out at 15 with the odd spliff, then it was the odd spliff and the odd E, then as it grew i was taking more E's for the guitaring and i needed the weed to sleep the next day.

It was only that bad for about 6 months before i quit, i just do the cigarettes and drinking now, and the drinkings only like once in two months!

I remember one time i had about 6 E's in walsall town centre, got home at 8 am, couldn't sleep and guitared non stop all day. Went to sleep, woke up monday morning still battered out of my face, and i was dancing to Kasabian at 6:30am at work!

People used to think i was crazy, and i probably was!

I used to come in at gone 6am from clubbing, and guitar till i dropped about 3 pm.

A couple of things.

It was good for practice, if i'm sober i'd do like one hour on, half an hour off sort of thing for a maximum of three hours. On the E's i'd forget about drinking, eating, going to the bathroom and just play for three hours without even clicking that there was a world going on around me. Small break, back on it!

I'd be so intensely fixed on the improves that i hardly wrote anything, too busy just jaming.

Crazy sh*t though, i wouldn't want it for anyone, that stuff can drive you insane.

I've been down that road too, something I'm so ashamed of. But one thing is true, is no one know's discipline like someone who has to swear off a substance, everyday.

People dont realize that by trying to self-destruct with drugs, they are only making things worse.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not anti drugs, I just think people should be warned what they're in for.

They will ultimately do what they want and will have to suffer the consequences.

I'm so glad i got out of it, did it about a year before i found out my girlfriend was pregnant, i can't imagine what things would be like now if i was still like that.

My friends are still doing it, something has to give, i reckon that one or more of them will die from the abuse but what can you say? They are having a good time and they still call me a pussy for staying in on the weekend.

Good for you. I did almost the same only mine was linked with Football Hooliganism. I dont miss much of it, the football thing stays with you a bit though. The sound of sirens or barking german shepherds can give me goosebumps even now and all this was over 11 years ago.

Drugs really are a pile of sh*t though. I've tried a lot of different stuff but i am anti drugs now but i dont preach to others. My brother lost his right hand through gangreen after a long heroin addiction, i've seen some bad stuff and i feel i am well in my rights to be opinionated on this subject.

I just hope people that try them see the light before they even get into the tunnel.

When I lived in Surrey, only two things used to scare me back then. One was "Pikey's" a bunch of crazy, super hard nutta's Gipsy's. And two was football "Holligans".

This is how it was, Friday night your walking home alone, a little pissed, and you see a group of teens in the distance, one of them yells "OY!" "Whats your favorite football team" If you gave the wrong answer you ended up running home. Afraid you would get a "Chelsea smiler" like the Kray brothers used to give.

I used to live right by Broadmore, the crazy institute. Thats where one of them spent the rest of his life. Good times!

There's a part of me that's glad I don't have very much of this kind of stuff to tell, but another part of me kind of wishes I did. On the other hand my dad's seen #### that'll turn most folks white, I'd put some of it down but it'd be an absolute monster read, and it isn't stuff that's happened to me so it wouldn't really mean much.

I will chip in though that I have come across the ""where are you from?"/ wrong answer gets the #### kicked out of you" scenario plenty of times. I live near Liverpool so it happens quite a lot when you have long hair or don't wear a tracksuit, and especially when you're not scouse.

And I'm glad that none of those of you who have used drugs are anymore, I do have my share of experiences with them (although again nothing as bad as you lot seem to have), and wouldn't wish that kind of living on anyone.

Oh come now Richie, I'm sure you've got some great stories, most people do. So how did your friend's Father meet the Krays??

As far as stories go, I don't mind saying I have quite a few, thats what you get from having lived in 3 different countries I guess.

But don't feel too envious just yet, as I have never felt that security that people feel when they've grown up in only one place. Ya know? Like, "thats the place of my first kiss" and "thats the hospital my baby was born, same place I was" That kind of sh*t.

As far as places go, I found british kids to be esspecially cruel. Kids are cruel no matter where you live though.

If you act a little crazy, they will leave you alone! 😈

My mate's dad's story is basically that he was in a cafe in whatever area of London it was, and the Krays just walked in and sat at the table next to his, and he recognised them, obviously they had their photo in the "wanted" section of the paper at this point. They just started talking to him, all friendly like. He also claims that as they were leaving one of them gave him their number and was like "if you ever need anyone 'sorting out', give us a bell".

Stories of my own... I got attacked on the train into Liverpool at 10 in the morning by a couple of smackheads 'cause they thought I was from Kirkby for some reason. Fortunately I was with a mate, and I have a purple belt in Ju Jitsu, so we were able to hold our own until other people came into the car and helped. Also luckily niether of them were particularly strong, and they were both apparently drunk and/ or high. I just thought it was odd that they chose to strike on a train full of people at mid-morning. 😆

But yeah, I get what you mean. I'm only 19 and have only lived in the one place so I'm not really a man of the world as yet. And I would question whether having seen things that have scarred you for life is a matter of pride, it's all just a learning experience I guess. And yes, kids here can be complete bastards.

Real football hooligans dont hassle bystanders, general public or grannys with bovril as the media would have you believe, the main objective is to find the opposing firm without rousing police attention.

She's dead. I think there is only three of them units in this country, one of them is near Nottingham called Rampton.

Yeah, Broadmoor's an asylum for the criminally insane. There's one up here too in Walton, but I forget it's name, they've got that guy Brady there, who killed a bunch of kids in the 80s.

I think basically, the world seems to be full of absolute f*cking nutters. Best to steer clear.
