How can you say that some Les Pauls are ok, but SG's are not ? In my experience most SG's have really thin necks compared to most Les Pauls, especially the 60's slim profile, that is also found on a lot of 335's.

For info - I didn't say this was an SG its my workhorse & I know its not an SG I've owned it for 30 years !!!!! For info its a 77 les paul special. All I was saying was that SG's have really slim necks & are easy to play with a really cool sound, you may have never played a good one & I may have never played a bad one !

I own several mustangs, some vintage - some are great some are ####e - think about it !

Have you played any 80's Bullets ?

They have all of the features of the mustang, without the rattling bridge etc, they really are good guitars.

If you like the mustang - try a USA Bullet S2 ( The 82/83 2nd generation small strat type body ) they are more like a telecaster than a mustang, but they are still going relatively cheap on ebay in the USA, I have not come accross a bad one so far & I have 3 of them.

I love big chunky necks on guitars.

But I also like the small neck of a Mustang.

I'm flexible.

Love the Bullet S2's. Also very much a fan of the Lead 2's. Very much a gem in Fender's long line of great, but shortlived and relatively forgotten, guitars.

My friends got one of those lead 2's they're awesome, one of the best Strats I've played for sure.

Nice, mine is exactly same. I think i gonna get a brown pickguard though(keeping the switches and pups black). Btw, i heard that one cool thing about reissue is that you can do mods on them.

PS. I personally have no faith in Gibsons, imo they are way overpriced. Epiphone was as far as I went when I was searching for a LP.

? you can do mods on any guitar.

Yeah, but if you do them on vintage guitars, they gonna loose their value. I wouldn't want a 1950's les paul with Steve Vai's Dimarzios in it.

ya but oyu can still mod any guitar. if i get a vintage ill most likely mod mine so i like it, i dont plan on selling a vintage jag when i get one
